Thankful Truck

Backstory:

Thankful Truck was born on the backroads of southern Tennessee, where its four members bonded over a shared love of country music and pickup trucks. Lead guitarist and vocalist, Danny Sullivan, met bassist, Jake “Hound Dog” Mitchell, while working at a local truck repair shop. They discovered drummer, Lacey Crane, playing a beat-up drum kit at a county fair, and she was soon followed by harmonica player and backup vocalist, Bobby “Blues” Dawson, a traveling blues musician they met at a local dive bar.

What started as jam sessions in Danny’s garage quickly morphed into a fusion of their love for country music and their shared experiences as blue-collar workers – the trucking industry, the farming fields, heartbreaks, and happiness. Their music resonated with their small-town community, leading to gigs at local bars, county fairs, and eventually a record deal. Through all their success, they remain grateful to their roots, hence the name—Thankful Truck.

“Diesel Dreams”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
E A D
Ridin’ down these old dirt roads,
E A D
Been working hard, carryin’ heavy loads,
E A B7
Just a man, a truck, and a dream it seems,
D A E
Chasin’ down these diesel dreams.

(Chorus)
E A D
Thankful for every mile I ride,
E A D
Under the moon, stars in the sky,
E A B7
Just a man, a truck, and a dream it seems,
D A E
Livin’ and lovin’ these diesel dreams.

(Verse 2)
E A D
Through rain or shine, snow or sleet,
E A D
Rumble of the engine, rhythm of the beat,
E A B7
Just a man, a truck, and a dream it seems,
D A E
Rollin’ down the road of these diesel dreams.

(Chorus)
E A D
Thankful for every mile I ride,
E A D
Under the moon, stars in the sky,
E A B7
Just a man, a truck, and a dream it seems,
D A E
Livin’ and lovin’ these diesel dreams.
