Backstory:
Spry Safety was born from the ashes of a post-industrial town in the Midwest, where the echoes of factories and steel mills were as integral to the town’s identity as its inhabitants. The core members of the band, brothers Will and Daniel Thompson, started their journey in music by forming a garage band called ‘The Shimmering Shadows’. They earned their fame playing at local parties and high school proms. Over time, they evolved their sound, moving away from covers to original compositions. The brothers recruited Lily Stevens, a childhood friend and classically trained pianist, and the trio rebranded themselves as ‘Spry Safety’, a nod to the town’s history, resilience, and their commitment to exploring new sonic territories.
Their music reflects the raw energy of their hometown, fused with intricate harmonies and a compelling narrative of survival and reinvention.
