Backstory:
Tender Minister is a group of five childhood friends hailing from the small city of Lethbridge, Canada. Growing up in the same neighborhood, they spent their summers jamming in their garages, playing at local gigs and dreaming of making it big one day. The band’s name, a playful anagram of their school’s principal’s name, stuck with them as they journeyed through their musical career.
Their journey took a massive turn when they played at the Calgary Folk Music Festival as part of a school competition. Their soulful music resonated with the crowd, and they were eventually discovered by a talent scout in the audience. After years of playing in their garages, Tender Minister was finally on the road to stardom.
Genre:
Tender Minister’s music is primarily Folk-Rock with elements of Indie and Country intertwined, creating a unique, soulful, and heartwarming sound.
Song Title:
“Whispers in the Wind”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Am F C G
As the moon starts to shimmer,
Am F C G
On the still sleeping river,
Am F C G
I hear your whispers in the wind,
Am F C G
Telling tales of where we’ve been.
(Chorus)
Dm F C G
Whispers in the wind, echoes of our sin,
Am F C G
Love we found, and love we lost,
Am F C G
On this journey, what was the cost?
(Verse 2)
Am F C G
Golden fields, and starlit skies,
Am F C G
Your eyes reflecting moonrise.
Am F C G
In the quiet, in the hush,
Am F C G
I feel the tender, gentle brush.
(Chorus)
Dm F C G
Whispers in the wind, echoes of our kin,
Am F C G
Memories painted in the dust,
Am F C G
In this world, who can you trust?
