Backstory:
“New Screw” came together in the eclectic music scene of Austin, Texas. Its four members, Elliot (vocalist/guitarist), Lucy (bassist), Richie (drummer), and Finnegan (keyboardist/synth), met during various jam sessions at local underground music clubs. They bonded over their shared love of music that pushed the boundaries of traditional genres and decided to form their own band. “New Screw” was born in 2014. Despite their initial struggle to find their unique sound, their grit and determination to break through the stereotypes of rock music led them to create a blend of electronic rock and ambient noise, giving birth to a new genre they call “Electric Noise.”
