Negligible Bronze

Backstory:

Born in the heart of Durham, North Carolina, Negligible Bronze emerged from a union of four college friends in 2015, each bringing a unique musical background. The band members, James Hargrove (lead vocals, guitar), Adrian Lopez (bass), Naomi Clarke (drums), and Oliver Adams (keyboard), all met at Durham’s renowned Duke University. Each member was studying in different faculties but bonded over a shared love of music. They began jamming during their leisure time, and soon, these harmless jamming sessions turned into a serious commitment towards creating a unique sound, which led to Negligible Bronze.

Negligible Bronze’s sound evolved through their experiments with different genres, their shared passion for music, and their collective experiences. They quickly gained a reputation for their energetic, eccentric performances and their ability to blend elements from various musical styles. Their name, Negligible Bronze, symbolizes the underdog status they felt in the highly competitive music scene, as a way of embracing their unique path and acknowledging that they did not fit into any traditional music molds.

“Rainbow Shadows”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Em G D C
Looking up, the sky’s so bright,
Em G D C
Rainbow shadows in the night.
Em G D C
Running wild, without a care,
Em G D C
We find solace everywhere.

(Chorus)
Am G D Em
Life’s a song, we’re singing loud,
Am G D Em
Underneath the neon cloud.
Am G D Em
We’re the ones, lost in the crowd,
Am G D Em
Burning embers, strong and proud.

(Verse 2)
Em G D C
No silver spoon, no golden crown,
Em G D C
Just four hearts beating sound.
Em G D C
In the city’s hum, we found our chance,
Em G D C
In Negligible Bronze, we found our trance.

(Repeat Chorus x2)

Fan Testimonial:

Fan’s Name: Melissa Gibson

Melissa Gibson has been a fan of Negligible Bronze since their first gig at a small Durham bar. “What sets them apart is their authenticity and the connection they develop with their audience. Their lyrics resonate with my life experiences. ‘Rainbow Shadows,’ for instance, talks about finding positivity in the midst of life’s challenges. It’s not just their music, it’s their spirit and their story as well. They started from the bottom, and now they’re here, staying true to their roots. They are the epitome of what it is to love what you do and to do it with passion. That’s why Negligible Bronze is my favorite band.”
