Backstory:
Splendid Support began as four childhood friends growing up in the vibrant musical city of Austin, Texas. Perry, the drummer, played at his local church, while Josh, the guitarist, was a natural-born busker. Emily, the bassist, learned her skills in the school orchestra, while Ray, the lead singer and keyboardist, only discovered his talent at college. They all grew up surrounded by music, and their love for it eventually led them to form their own band in 2012. Despite the obstacles and challenges they faced, their bond as friends never wavered and their music kept them united.
During the initial years, they played at local gigs and music festivals, building a small but loyal fanbase. Their big break came when a music producer spotted them playing at South by Southwest. He was so impressed by their unique sound, energy, and chemistry, he signed them to his label on the spot. Though they had some initial success, the band stayed true to their roots, remaining a group of friends who loved making music together.
