Firsthand Intervention

Backstory:
Firsthand Intervention was born out of the ashes of a failed indie rock band in the heart of Seattle, Washington. The band members, vocalist and guitarist Julian Montague, bassist Raoul Silva, and drummer Evan Hastings met in high school, where they would often jam in their parents’ garages. After a few failed attempts at forming bands, they decided to take matters into their own hands, and Firsthand Intervention was formed. Separating themselves from the mainstream, they began producing music that was deeply rooted in their personal experiences, with a sprinkle of rebellious punk rock energy.

Genre:

VERSE 1: (G, D, Em, C)
(G) Sun is rising, (D) streets are bare,
(Em) Only echoes of yesterday are (C) there,
(G) Holding onto memories, (D) sifting through the despair,
(Em) We built our dreams on (C) broken glass, and (D) air.

CHORUS: (C, G, D, Em)
(C) Shattered echoes of a past, (G) slipping through our grasp,
(D) Can’t turn the time, can’t make it (Em) last,
(C) Fighting shadows, in the dark, (G) setting off a spark,
(D) A firsthand intervention, (Em) leaving its mark.

VERSE 2: (G, D, Em, C)
(G) Torn down walls, (D) secrets exposed,
(Em) Like a rose garden (C) overgrown,
(G) Shadows follow, (D) where the light is thrown,
(Em) We are the seeds that (C) wind has (D) sown.

(REPEAT CHORUS)

BRIDGE: (A, Bm, G, D)
(A) Underneath the city lights, (Bm) within the moon’s soft glow,
(G) We find the strength to fight, (D) against the undertow,
(A) Broken mirrors reflect the right, (Bm) truths we ought to know,
(G) Shattered echoes in the night, (D) guiding us where to go.

(REPEAT CHORUS)

In a recent interview, she said, “Firsthand Intervention is a breath of fresh air in today’s music scene. They are genuine, raw, and unapologetically themselves.
