Great name for a band
Active Distribution
The story
Active Distribution formed in 2017 in Portland, Oregon, when three childhood friends reunited after years apart. Sharing a passion for blending electronic beats with live instruments, they started experimenting in a small home studio, aiming to create music that could energize listeners both mentally and physically. Their early sound was rough but raw, slowly evolving into a polished fusion of indie rock and electronic dance music. They named themselves Active Distribution to reflect their desire to spread their music actively and dynamically across various platforms and live venues.
By 2019, Active Distribution had built a loyal local following through high-energy performances and a unique sound that defied easy categorization. Their breakthrough came with the release of their debut EP, which showcased their ability to craft catchy melodies layered with pulsating synths and driving guitar riffs. The band’s ethos centers on connection—bridging gaps between genres, audiences, and the digital and physical worlds of music. Today, they continue to tour, pushing boundaries and expanding their sonic palette with every release.
