Half Band

Backstory:
Half Band first came together in the bustling metropolis of Chicago in the summer of 2012. The band consists of four members: Alex Johnson, the lead vocalist and guitarist; Benny Matthews, the bassist; Lucas Davis, the drummer; and Sarah Miller, the keyboardist and backup vocalist. They all hail from different parts of the city and met by sheer coincidence at a local music festival. After a night of jamming together in Benny’s garage and finding a surprising chemistry between them, they decided to form their own music group, hence the birth of the Half Band.

Despite the name suggesting that they are just a half of something, they have always felt entirely whole when they perform together, hence the ironic name. Over the years they have faced their fair share of struggles, including being turned down by numerous record labels, but their persistence and passion for music have always kept them going. They believe that their music, despite its unconventional sound, speaks to anyone who has ever felt like they don’t quite fit in.
