The members, lead vocalist and guitarist Jamie O’Connell, drummer Oliver ‘Ollie’ Jones, and bassist Sarah Stockton, had known each other since their high school days. The band’s name, ‘Royal Chin,’ was inspired by the in-joke among the group about their shared heritage – all three members could trace their lineage back to British royalty.
