Back Skin

Backstory:
Back Skin, a grungy garage rock band, was born in the heart of the Manhattan underground music scene in the early 2000s. The band was formed by four childhood friends: lead singer and guitarist, Jesse “Ripper” Reynolds, bassist, Charlie “Sledge” Sanders, drummer, Mickey “Mauler” Mathews, and keyboardist, Ronnie “Ravager” Roberts. The name ‘Back Skin’ was derived from an unfortunate incident where Reynolds fell off a skateboard and scraped off a significant patch of skin off his back. The boys, who had been looking for a band name at the time, saw this as a sign and decided to name the band after the incident.

Title: “Shadows in the Rain”

Full Song Lyrics:

Verse 1: [C – F – C – G]
I see you dancing, in whispers of the rain,
With the midnight shadows, casting echoes of your name.
The city’s empty streets, hold tales of our lost yesterday,
In the silence of the night, I see our love slowly decay.

Chorus: [Am – F – C – G]
Oh, shadows in the rain, won’t you wash away the pain?
Beneath the neon lights, can we find what still remains?
Shadows in the rain, our love was not in vain,
Even if we lost the fight, in my heart, you’ll always reign.

Verse 2: [C – F – C – G]
Your laughter still lingers, in the hollow of my mind,
Though the touch of your fingers, with time has unkind.
Yet, I search for you, in every passerby’s face,
In the hopes that I, can find a trace.
