Backstory:

Lanky Shake was born in the vibrant underground music scene of Manchester, England, in 2016. The band consists of four childhood friends: frontman Ethan ‘Lanky’ Langford, drummer Max ‘Shake’ Schaefer, lead guitarist Oliver ‘Ollie’ Bailey, and bassist Liam ‘Lee’ Watson. The boys were inspired by the musical talents they found in their local pubs and decided they, too, could make a mark on the world. The band’s name, Lanky Shake, pays homage to the nicknames of the founding members, Ethan and Max.

Despite humble beginnings, Lanky Shake quickly gained a local following for their electrifying performances and unique sound. Their gritty lyrics and raw, passionate performances resonated with listeners who were tired of the overly polished mainstream music. Their journey from humble open mic participants to one of the hottest indie bands in Manchester is a testament to their talent, passion, and determination.
