Backstory:
Gregarious Women started out as an unexpected collaboration between childhood friends, Charlotte ‘Char’ Strickland and Kennedy ‘Kenny’ Jeffries. Both had an innate passion for music from the beginning. Char, a drummer since the age of six, and Kenny, a soulful singer who learned guitar at nine, were the perfect duet waiting to happen. They played at local events and school functions, gaining a small following through their high school years. Upon graduation, they decided to take a leap of faith and pursue their musical dreams full-time. They named their band Gregarious Women, as they both loved the idea of being outgoing and sociable, characteristics they believed embodied their music. They wanted to be a voice for women worldwide, their songs often incorporating themes of strength, independence, and empowerment.
