Backstory:
Inferior Sleep was originally formed in 2015, made up of four college friends from Boston, Massachusetts who shared a love for quirky, melancholic tunes. The members are frontman and vocalist, Jack Mitchell, lead guitarist, Ethan Barnes, bass guitarist, Sam Riley, and drummer, Olivia Peterson. They started off performing in local bars and small events, but their unique sound quickly gained them a dedicated fanbase. They were noticed by an indie record label during one of their gigs, and that was the beginning of their meteoric rise in the music industry.
Their inspirations range from Radiohead to The Strokes, forming a unique sound that encapsulates their introspective lyrics and immersive soundscapes. Inferior Sleep’s music has always been deeply personal and reflective, resonating with listeners who appreciate the raw honesty and poignant storytelling in their lyrics.

Title:
“Echoes of Yesterday”
Full Song Lyrics:
[Intro]
Am C G F
[Verse 1]
Am C
I’m drifting in the haze,
G F
Lost within the maze,
Am C
Chasing the echoes of yesterday.
G F
Our shadows dancing on the wall,
Am C
In harmony, before the fall,
G F
The silence shouts what words can’t say.
[Chorus]
Am C
Oh, echo, echo, echo,
G F
Don’t fade away,
Am C
Bring me back to the arms,
G F
Of yesterday.
[Verse 2]
Am C
The memories, they play on repeat,
G F
In the echoes, we find defeat,
Am C
Broken promises in the hallways dim.
G F
Yet, in the echoes, there’s still a song,
Am C
Reminding us where we belong,
G F
In the ruins, we find our hymn.
[Chorus]
Am C
Oh, echo, echo, echo,
G F
Don’t fade away,
Am C
In your sound, I find the charm
G F
Of yesterday.
The Band’s Favorite Fan:
The band’s favorite fan is Marianne Joyce. Marianne has been following Inferior Sleep since their early days, attending almost every gig, and has since started an online fan club to support them. Marianne’s testimonial reads:
“Inferior Sleep’s music has got me through some really tough times. Their lyrics speak about the human condition in its rawest form, touching on themes that are often difficult to express. They transform these emotions into something beautiful, encapsulating it in a melody that stays with you. Their music is like a friend who understands, and for that, they will always be my favorite band.”
