Backstory:

In the heart of the Pacific Northwest, where the lush expanse of the wilderness collides with the vibrancy of urban life, Proper Wilderness was born. The band formed in 2010, brought together by a shared love for the breathtaking scenery of their homeland, a profound respect for the wilderness, and of course, a shared passion for music. Initially neighbours, the quartet, consisting of lead vocalist and guitarist Alex, drummer Danny, bassist Leo, and Rachel on keys, found their rhythms and harmonies blending into something unique almost immediately. They spent their early days practicing in garages, before performing at local gigs and eventually, with their growing fan base, they began touring across the country.

Their music, much like their name, is a harmonious blend of the wild and the sophisticated. Their profound lyrics, inspired by the wilderness and human nature, are set to music that is refined, yet raw, echoing the very essence of the wilderness.
