Backstory:
Born in the freezing corridors of North Dakota, Poor Sleet was conceived under the dimly lit winter sky, as four childhood friends found solace in their shared passion for music. Each member brought a unique flavor to the group: Jake Dalton’s soulful voice, Levi Thomas’ skillful guitar riffs, Ryan Barker’s steady drum beats, and Wesley Scott’s humming bass. They transformed their small-town garage into a makeshift studio, refining their sound amidst old car parts and worn-out furniture. One frigid evening, in the midst of a sleet storm, the group officially christened themselves as ‘Poor Sleet’ – a nod to their humble beginnings and the weather that accompanied their formative sessions.
Their journey was not without struggle. Between day jobs and personal lives, the band continued to write and perform at local bars and open mics. Their perseverance paid off when a talent scout from a major record label happened to catch one of their performances. Impressed by their raw talent and unique sound, he offered them a recording contract. It was a turning point for Poor Sleet, taking them from a small-town garage to sold-out arenas worldwide.

Band’s Favorite Fan:
The band’s favorite fan is Natalie Johnson, a young woman from their hometown. Natalie was the first to believe in Poor Sleet’s potential, attending every one of their early gigs, cheering them on, and promoting them to anyone who would listen. In her words, “Poor Sleet isn’t just a band; they are the heartbeat of our town. Their music resonates with us; it’s like they’ve taken pieces of our shared experiences, our struggles, our victories, and woven them into their lyrics. Their success hasn’t changed them; they’re still the same humble boys, making music that speaks to the soul. I’m proud to be their fan!”
