Bleak Crate

Backstory:
Bleak Crate was formed in 2002, during the bleakest winter in the industrial town of Akron, Ohio. The founding members, frontman Eddie ‘The Voice’ Miller and drummer Jimmy ‘Thundersticks’ O’Neill, were childhood friends who found solace in music amidst the tumultuous environment of their hometown. In their early days, they performed in dingy nightclubs and abandoned factories, slowly gaining a loyal following. As their experiences evolved, so did their music, mirroring the realities of life in an industrial wasteland. Soon, they were joined by guitarist Elizabeth ‘Riff Queen’ Fisher and bassist Danny ‘Deep Groove’ Watson, completing the lineup of Bleak Crate. Together, they embarked on a journey to share their gritty sounds and thought-provoking lyrics with the world.

Title:
“Shadows in the Steel”

Full song lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Em G D C
Walking through the cold, steel town,
Em G D C
Smoky skies, sun going down.
Em G D C
Fires burn in the factories,
Em G D C
Leaving shadows in the steel, no peace.

(Chorus)
G D Em C
Shadows, shadows in the steel,
G D Em C
Haunting whispers, what do they reveal?
G D Em C
Echoes of dreams, now turned to rust,
G D Em C
In this town of steel and dust.

(Verse 2)
Em G D C
Faces worn, hearts turned to stone,
Em G D C
In the bleak light, we stand alone.
Em G D C
But our voices rise above the din,
Em G D C
In the steel, we find our sin.

(Chorus)
G D Em C
Shadows, shadows in the steel,
G D Em C
Telling tales of love, loss, and zeal.
G D Em C
In the heart of fire, we find our trust,
G D Em C
In this town of steel and rust.
