Idiotic Soul

Backstory:
Idiotic Soul was born in the chaotic music scene of Chicago in 2005. The lead singer, Max, a former high school English teacher, and his best friend, drummer Sam, a former mechanic, teamed up with bassist, Anna, a visual artist, and guitarist, Luke, a computer scientist, to form the band. With their diverse backgrounds, they brought unique perspectives to their music, exploring the human condition through their distinct sound. They initially started as a garage band, practicing in Max’s garage, and slowly built their name in the local scene by playing at small gigs. Their breakthrough came with their debut album “Melodies of the Mad,” which won the hearts of many listeners with its raw emotion and poetic lyrics.

Title:
“Stains of Yesterday”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Am C G D
Washed up on the shore of my dreams,
Where the echoes of yesterday still scream,
Got the stains of yesterday on my soul,
Oh, they’re too deep, too dark to console.

(Chorus)
Em C G D
Stains of yesterday, can’t wash away,
The pain they carry, here to stay.
Stains of yesterday, haunting my soul,
Like an idiot, I let them control.

(Verse 2)
Am C G D
The things we did, the words we said,
Become the monsters under our bed.
We try to forget, but we only remember,
The fire that turned us all into ember.

(Chorus)
Em C G D
Stains of yesterday, seeping through,
In every memory, in every hue,
Stains of yesterday, they never fade,
In every corner, they’ve laid their shade.
