Backstory:
Quick Feeling originated as a trio of college buddies from the University of Michigan. The band members – vocalist and lead guitarist Ethan Jones, bassist Oliver Craig, and drummer Matthew “Matt” Collins – met during their freshman year in 2013, bonding over their collective love for music and dreams of having a band. They started out performing at various college events and soon became a local favorite due to their unique blend of music and compelling lyrics. After graduation in 2017, rather than diving headfirst into the corporate world, they decided to pursue their passion for music. A year later, they were signed by a record label, releasing their debut album that won the hearts of thousands and marked the beginning of their successful journey.

Title:
“Chasing Shadows”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[C] Standing at the edge of the [F] world,
[G] Looking at the chaos un[Am]furled,
[C] Trying to find the light in the [F] dark,
[G] Chasing shadows, leaving a [Am] mark.
(Verse 2)
[C] Lost in the labyrinth of [F] time,
[G] Penning down my thoughts in [Am] rhyme,
[C] The hourglass drains too [F] swift,
[G] And we’re back to chasing [Am] shadows, adrift.
(Chorus)
[F] Chasing shadows in the [G] dark,
[Am] Trying to ignite a [C] spark,
[F] Running against the winds of [G] time,
[Am] In this self-inflicted [C] crime.
(Verse 3)
[C] Shadows flicker, shadows [F] fade,
[G] In the hands of time, we’re [Am] made,
[C] Chasing shadows, we [F] roam,
[G] In the quest to find our [Am] home.
(Chorus)
[F] Chasing shadows in the [G] night,
[Am] Struggling with all our [C] might,
[F] Against the ticking hands that [G] chime,
[Am] We’re just prisoners of [C] time.

A self-proclaimed ‘Quickie’, Sara has attended every concert in every city and owns all their albums, merchandise, and even a few guitar picks thrown by Ethan during concerts. “Quick Feeling has a way of creating music that resonates with the soul. Their lyrics speak truth and their melody is infectious. They’re not just a band to me, they’ve become a part of my life. They make me feel understood, give voice to my emotions, and above all, they inspire me to chase my own dreams, just like they did,” shares Sara.
