Conventional Tutor

Backstory:

Formed in the eclectic heart of Brooklyn, New York in 2002, Conventional Tutor found its roots in the shared passion of a substitute teacher named Bruce and a music store clerk named Jamie. During a chance encounter, they discovered a mutual love for musical innovation and decided to start a band. After roping in their friends, a cafeteria worker turned bassist, George, and Mark, a part-time librarian with killer drum skills, Conventional Tutor was born. Over the years, they’ve played in dives, coffee houses, and finally made it to bigger stages, all the while maintaining their unique sound and irreplaceable camaraderie.

Song Title:

“Chalkboard Reverie”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Am G
Scribbled equations on a dusty chalkboard,
C D
In the silence of a classroom that’s ignored.
Am G
A melody rings out, breaking the still,
C D
The echo of a dream, a thrill.

(Chorus)
G D
Chalkboard reverie, writing songs in our memory,
Am C
In the halls, we found our harmony.
G D
Chalkboard reverie, melodies set us free,
Am C
In the rhythm of our hearts, we found the key.

(Verse 2)
Am G
Lost in the textbooks, we found our own beat,
C D
Strumming strings under the desks, a covert feat.
Am G
In the whispers of the wind, in the rustling leaves,
C D
We heard the symphony of our dreams.

(Chorus)
G D
Chalkboard reverie, etching verses in history,
Am C
In the schoolyard, claiming our victory.
G D
Chalkboard reverie, we danced in liberty,
Am C
The sweet ballad of our life’s symphony.
