Backstory:

Dependable Guitar sprouted in the quaint town of Asheville, North Carolina in 2009, when a group of high school friends discovered their shared passion for music. Allen Jackson, the lead vocalist, and guitarist, his childhood friend, Tessa McKinnon, the soulful keyboardist, and their mutual friend, Pete Harrison, the dynamic drummer, decided to form a band for the yearly school talent show. Their performance exceeded expectations and won them the first prize. This fueled their desire to continue their musical journey even after high school, leading to the official formation of Dependable Guitar.

The band spent the subsequent years refining their sound, playing in local gigs and bars. The group worked diligently, balancing their everyday jobs with their unstoppable musical pursuits. It wasn’t until 2015 that they caught the attention of a local producer who gave them a chance to record their debut album. The rest, as they say, is history.
