Backstory:
Formed in the heart of Philadelphia in 2010, the members of Able Actor initially bonded over their shared love for music and theater. The band is made up of four members: lead vocalist and actor, Nick Miller, guitar player and bassist, John Benson, drummer, Larry Peterson, and keyboardist, Sarah Thompson. They all met during a community theater production, and ended up spending more time jamming and improvising music backstage than rehearsing their lines. Realizing the unique sound they created, they decided to take their act beyond the theater doors and Able Actor was born.
In their early years, they played at open mics and local gigs, slowly building a fan base that appreciated their fusion of theatrical drama and musical talent. Their big break came during a live local radio performance, where their emotive music storytelling garnered the attention of a local recording studio. This marked the beginning of their professional journey in the music world, as they signed their first record deal in 2013.

Full Song Lyrics:
Verse 1:
[C] Underneath the [G] marquee, [Am] in the city lights.
[F] We found our [C] dreams, [G] chasing after midnight.
[C] From the theater [G] stage, to [Am] streets alive with sound,
[F] Our music [C] came alive, [G] when no one else was around.
Chorus:
[F] Underneath the marquee, [C] in our city of dreams,
[G] We played our hearts out, [Am] to the rhythm of the streets.
[F] Under the spotlight, [C] or in the crowd’s roar,
[G] We are Able Actor, [C] giving you more and more.
Verse 2:
[C] The city’s [G] quiet hum, [Am] became our lullaby,
[F] The rhythm [C] of the night, [G] our unwritten lullaby.
[C] The clamor of the [G] crowd, [Am] our applause, the stage,
[F] Our stories [C] came alive, [G] from the first to the final page.
Repeat Chorus
