Backstory:
Positive Walk is a group of four friends: Mark Powell, Luke Greene, John Davis, and Matthew Taylor. They formed in the heart of New York City in 2013, when they were all studying at the Manhattan School of Music. Mark and Luke, the guitarists, met in a music theory class, while John, the drummer, and Matthew, the bass player, were roommates. The name “Positive Walk” came from their shared philosophy of taking every step in life with positivity and optimism.
Their journey hasn’t been easy, battling numerous rejections and financial constraints, but their belief in their music and the power of positivity has helped them overcome these hurdles. They strongly believe in spreading happiness and good vibes through their music, and their fan base, called the “PosiWalkers”, resonate a lot with this ethos.

“Positive Walk is my number one band for so many reasons. Their music is a ray of hope on cloudy days and a celebration of life on good ones. Their lyrics resonate deeply with my personal journey, reminding me to stay positive and keep going no matter what. ‘Sunshine After Rain’ became my anthem during a challenging phase, and it still is. Their message that there’s always joy after struggles is something I hold onto. It’s not just their music, but their story of resilience, their authenticity, and the positivity they spread that make Positive Walk my favorite band.”
