The band members, lead vocalist and guitarist Sam Bentley, bassist Max Harding, and drummer Luke Johnson, all grew up in the same neighborhood and shared a deep love for music and sports. Athletic Mode was conceived in 2010 after a wild night of beach football and jamming under the stars.
