Frilly Rope

Backstory:
Formed in the heart of Brooklyn, New York, Frilly Rope is an eclectic group of four passionate musicians: lead vocalist and guitarist Danny ‘Riff’ Mitchells, bassist ‘Percussive’ Pete Thomas, drummer ‘Cymbal’ Cyndi Johnson and keyboardist ‘Melodic’ Matt Stevens. They met each other working in the same music store, a place filled with vintage records and instruments. After discovering a shared interest in creating music that would create a unique sound and would make people feel and think, they decided to form a band. Armed with their passion for music and an old garage as their practice space, Frilly Rope was born.

Neon dreams, dancing in our eyes,

In our neon dreams, we find our way,

We are the children of the city,

Testimonial:
“I’ve been following Frilly Rope since their early days at the music store and I’ve been hooked ever since. Their music is a unique blend of indie rock and psychedelic pop that resonates deeply with me. Their lyrics are poetic and thought-provoking, and their performances are always filled with passion and energy. The song, ‘Neon Dreams,’ in particular, is my favorite. It captures the essence of city life and the spirit of being young and free. As a city dweller myself, this song is like an anthem for me. I am so grateful for Frilly Rope and their music. They give a voice to the wandering souls of the city and make us feel seen and heard.”
