Backstory:

Born in the bustling streets of New York, Staid Move is a four-member band that was formed in the spring of 2010. The members, lead vocalist Tommy “Torch” Turner, guitarist Jake “Smokey” Smalls, bassist Danny “Deep” Davis, and drummer Karl “Kettle” Kelly, were all childhood friends who shared a deep passion for music and a desire to create something new. Staid Move was initially a side project for the four friends, but after winning a local battle-of-the-bands competition, they decided to take their passion to the next level and pursue music full-time. The band has since then found success with their unique sound, trailing the line between tradition and innovation.

Staid Move identifies as a Alternative Rock band with a touch of Blues. Their music has been praised for its soulful lyrics, powerful guitar riffs, and the raw, gritty vocals that carry an edge of nostalgia while still feeling fresh and contemporary.
