Backstory:
Husky Toe is a band formed on the rugged roadways of American nomadic culture, where hitchhiking and hopping freight trains were the preferred modes of travel. The band’s core members, “Dusty” Dave Burgess and “Hobo” Harry Nelson, met in a small midwestern town while seeking refuge from a rainstorm in an abandoned barn. Sharing stories of their travels and their deep-rooted love for music over a crackling fire, the idea of Husky Toe was born. They decided to channel their experiences and wanderlust into creating a musical narrative that would resonate with the souls of every footloose traveler and anyone in search of an escape from the conventional path of life.

The duo eventually found their rhythm section in a chance encounter with a seasoned jazz drummer, “Windy” Will James, and a classically trained bassist, “Ramblin” Rose Bradley, both of whom were looking for a divergence from their respective genres. Together, they formed an evocative musical quartet that encapsulated a unique blend of their diverse influences.
