Cool Democracy was born out of an idea to bring change to the world through the power of music. The band was formed in 2010 in the heart of New York City, amidst the hustle and bustle of the music scene. Its members, Jeff, Raul, and Lily, met at a local open mic night and discovered their shared passion for delivering socio-political messages through song. They decided to bring their diverse backgrounds, sounds, and ideologies together to form a band that reflects the changing world around them.

Formed in the small Midwest town of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Simplistic Quiver started as a group of high school friends trying to escape the monotony of their rural lives through music. The band originally consisted of lead vocalist and guitarist, Nathan Hayes, bassist, Olivia Moore, and drummer, Jake Foster. In the early days, they converted Foster’s father’s barn into a makeshift studio, where they spent countless hours composing lyrics and experimenting with various sounds. Their struggle to make a name for themselves in a town with a small music scene eventually led them to move to Nashville, where their unique sound was quickly recognized, and they signed with a small independent label.

Responsible Constable is an amalgamation of four individuals who first met in their college days at Oxford University. The members include lead vocalist and guitarist, David ‘Sparks’ McCarthy, drummer Ted ‘Thunder’ Wilson, keyboardist Samantha ‘Melody’ Turner, and bassist, James ‘Rumble’ Franklin. During their time at university, they bonded over their shared love for music, activism, and a strange obsession with British detective series, resulting in the idiosyncratic name, ‘Responsible Constable’. Despite their various academic pursuits, they started jamming together in their spare time, which quickly escalated into public performances and campus-wide fame. After they graduated, they decided to pursue their musical passion full-time, resulting in the formation of the band, ‘Responsible Constable’.

The group was formed by three childhood friends, lead guitarist and vocalist James “J.D.” Davidson, bassist Harry “Rex” Jordan, and drummer Lawrence “Lars” Thompson. The band members met in middle school and bonded over their shared love for music, specifically a blend of alternative, punk, and blues. They started playing in local bars and events, and soon they gained a substantial following. Familiar Classroom was formed in a college dorm in 2006 by three close friends, Ethan Keller (vocals/guitar), Jason Hart (drums), and Ryan Reynolds (bass). Ethan was studying English Literature, Jason was pursuing a degree in Psychology, and Ryan was a Fine Arts major. Their shared passion for music and a desire to express themselves inspired them to form a band. They started playing at small college events, gaining popularity within their campus, and soon their music started to garner attention outside the college as well. The band’s name, ‘Familiar Classroom’, was inspired by the fact that their friendship and music journey started in their familiar college environment.

Backstory:

Meek Canvas hails from the windswept streets of Seattle, where their shared love of art, music, and poetry brought them together in a rundown loft space in the city’s eclectic Fremont district. The band was formed by lead singer Luca and guitarist Mason in 2010, both of whom came from considerably different backgrounds. Luca was a struggling artist who was selling paintings on the streets, whereas Mason had a more corporate background in software development. However, their love for music united them, and Meek Canvas was born. They were later joined by bassist Riley and drummer Harper, two siblings who were drawn to the band’s raw and emotional sound.
