Sad Palm

Backstory:
Sad Palm was born on the sun-soaked, surf-driven shores of southern California, but don’t let their origins fool you. This is no happy-go-lucky, feel-good band. Comprising of childhood friends, lead vocalist Mason ‘Mace’ Donovan, lead guitarist Oliver ‘Ollie’ Evans and drummer Liam ‘Lark’ Clark, Sad Palm was formed from their shared love of music and a desire to find an outlet for their darker, introspective thoughts. Through a blend of shadowy introspection and unmistakable melancholy, Sad Palm has found a unique way to turn their shared struggles with mental health into something beautiful.

Genre:
Sad Palm’s music falls under the broad umbrella of alt-rock, with a distinctive touch of emo and post-punk influences. Their sound is characterized by heavy, melancholic tunes and introspective lyrics, delivered through Mace’s hauntingly poignant voice.

“One Last Wave Goodbye”

Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Em G
“On the edge of the ocean, under the crimson sky,
D C
I watched our dreams crumble and die.

The palm tree stood, sad but not alone,
D C
A testament to love we’ve known.”

G D
“One last wave goodbye,
C Em
As the sun bleeds into the sky.
G D
One last tear to cry,
C Em
Underneath the sad palm’s sigh.”

(Verse 2)

“Footprints erased by the merciless tide,
D C
Evidence of a love that tried.
Em G
The palm tree’s shadow, long and thin,
D C
Hides the scars buried within.”

(Chorus)

“One last wave goodbye,
C Em
As the moon takes over the sky.
G D
One last dream to deny,
C Em
Underneath the sad palm’s sigh.”
