Backstory:
‘Those Flat’ was originally a trio of college students, comprised of lead guitarist Stefan ‘Stevie’ Jones, drummer Sarah ‘Scot’ McMillan, and bassist Henry ‘Harmony’ Barnes. They lived in a small, dilapidated flat in the heart of Liverpool, England, hence the band’s name. While they were supposedly pursuing degrees in different fields, their real passion was making music. Their flat, though small and run-down, was filled with the music of their laughter, camaraderie, and, most importantly, their shared love for creating tunes and melodies.
Their breakthrough came when they performed at a local bar one night, and their performance was uploaded on YouTube, getting millions of views overnight. Their unique sound and heartfelt lyrics resonated with many, and they were soon record deal offers came flooding in. ‘Those Flat’ chose to stay independent but have since released three successful albums, toured the UK, and started gaining international recognition.
