Knobby Step

Backstory:
Knobby Step rose from the ashes of the eclectic London music scene in the early 2010s. The band members – lead vocalist Charlie Franklin, guitar virtuoso Sammy Riggs, bass player Johnny “Fiddler” Fergusson, and drummer Luke “The Rake” Grady – all hailed from different musical backgrounds, yet bonded over their shared love of experimentation and a desire to create something unique. Their paths crossed in a dingy basement during an underground gig, and after hours of jamming together, the four musicians realized they had stumbled upon an unusual, yet harmonious, musical chemistry. Thus, the Knobby Step was born.

They started out playing in small pubs around London, their unusual sound resonating with the more daring aficionados of music. Word about these unconventional musicians soon spread beyond the city borders and, in just a matter of years, Knobby Step was selling out concert halls across Europe.

Genre:
Knobby Step has a unique sound that can best be described as Experimental Folk Rock, with influences from blues, punk, and even a bit of classical music. Their songs typically feature intricate acoustic guitar work, powerful bass lines, and complex drum patterns.

Dizzy Shape

Backstory:
“Dizzy Shape” was born out of a shared dormitory at the University of North Carolina in 2012. The founding members, vocalist Jared Lewis, drummer Oliver “Ollie” Turner, and lead guitarist Stephen “Steve” Finnigan, were all studying music theory and composition, and their collective passion led to many jam sessions. After a year of refining their sound and writing original songs, they added bassist Mia Watson to their line-up. Their first unofficial gig was an impromptu performance at a university festival, which garnered them a reasonable fan base and motivated them to continue their music journey.

Being students of music theory, the band began experimenting with different sounds and genres, pushing the boundaries and blurring the lines of conventional music norms. This interesting blend caught the attention of a local recording studio, and the rest, as they say, was history.
