Potable Involvement

Backstory:

Potable Involvement started as a group of childhood friends who hailed from the small, coastal town of Lone Pine, California. The band members, Dan Oliver (lead vocalist), Jeff McMartin (drummer), Nick Carter (bassist), and Steve Richardson (lead guitarist), spent their summers tinkering with broken instruments which they scavenged from the neighborhood. Over years of trial and error, they learned how to make music together. Their bond and shared experiences gave birth to unique tracks that captured the feel of their rustic hometown, the spirit of their youthful adventures, and the dreams they held for the future.

In 2015, they performed in local bars and quickly gained popularity due to their heartfelt lyrics and energetic performances. The curtains parted for Bubbly Suicide in 2012 in the heart of London’s underground music scene. Founding members, Poppy Delaney and Rex Thorn, two rebellious art students, wanted to experiment beyond the confines of their lecture halls, and so, music became their canvas. Their sound was a culmination of their eccentric tastes and colorful personalities, an unapologetic, quirky mix of paradoxes. They quickly gained a cult following for their bold, vibrant performances and their refreshingly real take on life.

In 2014, they were joined by drummer Zed Ignatius and bassist Luna Faire, further solidifying their signature brand of chaotic harmony. Through the years, the band had its share of uphill battles, including personal disagreements and record label disputes. But their shared love for creating music and their unyielding bond kept them together, making these struggles nothing more than the fuel to their fiery passion for art.

Unusual Floor was formed in 2010, when college roommates James “Jimmy” Walter and Stephen “Stevo” Peters decided to fuse their individual musical talents into a sound that was at once novel and captivating. Jimmy, a skilled drummer whose passion was jazz, and Stevo, an alternative rock enthusiast with a talent for playing the bass, began experimenting with their genre-blending beats in their garage. They later enlisted the lyrical skills and strong vocals of Kelly “Kells” Dawson, a childhood friend and coffee shop songwriter. Their shared love of musical exploration laid the foundation for the diverse and intriguing sound that is Unusual Floor.

In 2012, they released their first EP titled “Barefoot Groove,” which showcased their unique fusion of jazz and alternative rock. The band’s fresh sound quickly gained a loyal following.
