Backstory:
Acidic Pope was born out of the ashes of the grunge scene in Seattle, Washington, in the late 90s. Founding members John “Rusty” Reilly, Vince “Vapor” Peterson, and Mike “Mongoose” Montrose were disillusioned with the way the music industry was heading, and wanted to create something that fused rebellion, raw energy, and a unique take on social commentary. With Rusty on vocals and guitar, Vapor on bass, and Mongoose on drums, Acidic Pope was formed in the basement of an old church, where Rusty was working as a janitor.
