Backstory:
Formed in the heart of Brooklyn, New York, Frilly Rope is an eclectic group of four passionate musicians: lead vocalist and guitarist Danny ‘Riff’ Mitchells, bassist ‘Percussive’ Pete Thomas, drummer ‘Cymbal’ Cyndi Johnson and keyboardist ‘Melodic’ Matt Stevens. They met each other working in the same music store, a place filled with vintage records and instruments. After discovering a shared interest in creating music that would create a unique sound and would make people feel and think, they decided to form a band. Armed with their passion for music and an old garage as their practice space, Frilly Rope was born.

Backstory:

Utilized Friction was formed in 2004 in the heart of Memphis, Tennessee. School friends Jared Cummings (vocals/guitar) and Lucas Roberts (drums) were in a local garage band that had just disbanded, and they decided to keep the dream alive. They recruited bass player Jenna Ford from a local jazz ensemble, and discovered Brian ‘Taz’ Tazwell (keyboards) playing at a downtown blues club. Together, they forged a unique sound, drawing from their diverse influences.

As the band started performing in local venues, they quickly gained a reputation for their energetic performances and compelling lyrics. Their breakthrough came when they entered and won a local battle of the bands contest, which nabbed them a recording contract with independent label, ‘River Side Records’. Since then, they’ve released four critically acclaimed albums, toured extensively, and have been nominated for multiple awards.

Backstory:

Decimal Interview formed in the heart of London’s tech sector, the charismatic quartet of coders turned musicians. It all started in a small cubicle, where the lead singer and guitarist, Oliver, began to strum his guitar during lunch breaks. His colleagues, the twins Leo on drums and Eli on keys, and bassist, Pete, found themselves drawn to the rhythms, and soon they were jamming together in the office. Word spread around the tech industry about a band of coders making music after hours. They decided to take the leap and leave their day jobs to pursue music full time, thus Decimal Interview was born.

Essential Diagram is a band that came together in the tranquil town of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Formed in 2010, New Gene is a band born out of the shared passion for music of four college friends from the famed Berklee College of Music in Boston. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Tom O’Connor, drummer Lucy Daniels, bassist Sean McManus, and keyboardist Rufus Green. Their name, New Gene, came into existence as they believed their music was introducing a new genetic code in the world of music, blending old and new trends.
