Backstory:
Nasty Effect was born in the heart of New Orleans in 2008, a product of three high school friends who shared a love for music and a desire to push boundaries. The trio, consisting of lead vocalist and bassist Alex Howard, drummer Tommy Evans, and guitarist and keyboardist Jeff Bridges, started by playing in small local gigs, where they gained recognition for their unique sound and raw energy. Their original songs, a blend of their individual musical influences, quickly gained traction and won them a loyal fanbase. They started touring the southern states in 2010 and released their first album “Grit and Groove” in 2012.
The band’s journey was not without its challenges. In 2014, they faced a major setback when Bridges had a serious car accident, which led to a temporary hiatus. But the band bounced back, and their subsequent album “Rise Again” chronicled their journey of resilience and hope. They used their struggles as fuel, creating music that resonated with their fans on a deeper level.

“One More Round”
Full song lyrics:
(Verse)
Am G
Down at the bar, under dim lights,
F Am
Trying to wash away, the sorrows of the night,
Am G
One drink too many, one heartache too deep,
F Am
In the silence, memories creep.
(Chorus)
C G
One more round,
Am F
To drown the pain,
C G
One more round,
Am F
To feel sane,
C G
One more round,
Am F
In the hopes of finding,
C G
A new dawn, a new beginning.
(Verse)
Am G
Shadowed faces, lost in a sea,
F Am
Of empty promises and wasted dreams,
Am G
A silver lining, hidden in the cloud,
F Am
Silencing the voices that scream so loud.
(Chorus)
C G
One more round,
Am F
To drown the pain,
C G
One more round,
Am F
To feel sane,
C G
One more round,
Am F
In the hopes of finding,
C G
A new dawn, a new beginning.
