Backstory:

Yellowish Expression originated in the bohemian heart of East London, in the early 2000s. Best friends since high school, Max “Rhythm Machine” Thompson and Pete “Poetic P” Johnson, found solace in their shared love for music. After countless nights of jamming in Max’s basement, they decided to form their own band, naming it Yellowish Expression. Their music was a reflection of their personalities – remarkable, offbeat, and a little melancholic. They wanted to encapsulate their experiences and emotions in their music, expressing feelings of joy, love, heartbreak, and the simple nuances of everyday life.

It’s not just the poetic lyrics, or the effortlessly beautiful melodies, it’s the emotions they evoke. Every time I listen to them, I feel understood and connected. Their song ‘Sunset Shadows’ got me through a really tough breakup. Since then, their music has been my safe haven. I am lucky to have found the soulful sounds of Yellowish Expression.”
