Song Title:
“City Lights and Broken Dreams”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Am G F C
Beneath the city lights, we lost our way,
Am G F C
Dreamt of stars, but found only grey,
Am G F C
We played the game, paid the cost,
Am G F C
In the end, we found we’ve lost.
(Chorus)
Em Am C G
City lights and broken dreams,
Em Am C G
Nothing’s really what it seems,
Em Am C G
Trying to rise, afraid to fall,
Em Am C G
In this city that’s seen it all.
(Verse 2)
Am G F C
Painted smiles hiding tears,
Am G F C
Laughing loud to silence fears,
Am G F C
Holding on, letting go,
Am G F C
In the city’s ebb and flow.
(Chorus)
Em Am C G
City lights and broken dreams,
Em Am C G
Nothing’s really what it seems,
Em Am C G
Trying to rise, afraid to fall,
Em Am C G
In this city that’s seen it all.
(Outro)
Am G F C
Beneath the city lights, we found our song,
Am G F C
In the place where we’ve belonged all along.
