Backstory:
Right Employment was formed in the bustling city of Liverpool, England, in 2008. The band comprises of four childhood friends – Jerry Thompson (vocalist), Ben Morgan (guitarist), Luke Andrews (drummer), and Nick Harrison (bassist). The band name, ‘Right Employment,’ was born out of their shared belief that making music is their true calling or the ‘right employment’ for them. They started off playing at local bars and small college events, but their unique sound and heartfelt lyrics quickly caught the attention of major record labels.
After a few years of struggling to find their sound, they released their debut album in 2013, which won them critical acclaim and a dedicated fan base. They’ve since released three more albums, toured worldwide, and secured their place in the international music scene. Despite their success, they have stayed true to their roots, often returning to their hometown to play surprise gigs and donate to local charities.

Song Title:
“Lost in Transition”
Full Song Lyrics:
Verse:
[G] I’ve been wading through the waters, lost my direction
[D] Searching for answers in my own reflection
[Em] But all I see is a shadow, a flicker of my past
[C] Stuck in this endless cycle, nothing ever lasts
Chorus:
[G] But I’m lost in transition, caught in the rain
[D] Searching for meaning, fighting the pain
[Em] Can’t find the right answers, can’t see the light
[C] But I won’t give up, I will continue the fight
Verse:
[G] The road less travelled is the one I chose
[D] It’s been a journey of highs and painful lows
[Em] But every step I take, each lesson I’ve learned
[C] Is a testament to the bridges I’ve built and bridges I’ve burned
Chorus:
[G] Because I’m lost in transition, caught in the storm
[D] Trying to find my place, trying to transform
[Em] The right employment is my song, my fight
[C] I’ll keep on singing, into the night
Favorite Fan:
Our favorite fan is Emily. She’s been with us since our first gig in a rundown bar in Liverpool. Emily has attended every one of our concerts in the UK and has a tattoo of our album art on her arm. Emily says, “Right Employment’s music has been there for me through the hardest times. Their song ‘Lost in Transition’ resonated deeply with me when I was going through a tough phase. Their music is my refuge, my solace. They are more than just my favorite band, they are my lifeline.”
