The story

Sweet Virus, formed in 2006, is an eclectic group of musicians who found each other in the vibrant music scene of Austin, Texas. The band's members - lead vocalist Jaxon Murphy, guitarist Dana Turner, bassist Cleo Ramone, and drummer Artie Shore - met while studying at Berklee College of Music. They quickly bonded over their shared love for the classics, 80s pop, and the raw energy of punk rock. Moving to Austin post-graduation, Sweet Virus began to create their unique sound, a blend of rock 'n' roll with a contagious pop twist.

Sweet Virus is known for their Pop Rock sound, infused with influences from punk and 80's synth-pop.

Biggest fan

"There's something delightfully infectious about their music. It's an unlikely blend of punk-inspired energy and bubblegum pop that somehow works. The lyrics are relatable, and their melodies are catchy - they're the kind of band that you can't help but sing along to. Sweet Virus is my favorite because they've taken their influences and created a sound that is entirely their own. They've brought a fresh perspective to the pop-rock genre, and it's impossible not to get caught up in their energy and enthusiasm for music."
