Backstory:
Gigantic Grade was formed in the small town of Bedford, Indiana in 2012. The band members, lead vocalist and guitarist Jake Harlow, bassist Tommy ‘T-bone’ Sanders, keyboardist Ali Stone, and drummer Luke ‘Lightning’ Larson, were childhood friends with a shared passion for music. One evening, after a high school football game, they found themselves around a bonfire, with Jake strumming a guitar. The energy was electric and, fueled by the sparks of the fire and their love for music, Gigantic Grade was born. The band started playing in local bars, gradually gaining recognition for their unique sound and relatable lyrics. Their big break came when one of their songs went viral on a popular music platform.
Genre:
Gigantic Grade’s music can be classified as Alternative Rock with a touch of Indie Pop.
Song Title:
“Starry Nights and Broken Strings”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Am F
Underneath the starry sky, we found our melody,
C G
In the echoes of the night, and in our silent plea.
Am F
With broken strings and mended dreams, we strummed our destiny,
C G
In the harmony of love, we found our symphony.
(Chorus)
Am F
Starry nights and broken strings, is the tune we sing,
C G
To the rhythm of the heart, where the love begins.
Am F
Underneath the moonlight’s glow, let our song take wing,
C G
Starry nights and broken strings, let our love begin.
(Verse 2)
Am F
With every strum, a story told, of love and of despair,
C G
Underneath the stars unfold, a melody we share.
Am F
With every note, and every line, a piece of you and me,

Gigantic Grade is my favorite band because they make music that celebrates the human spirit, the ups and downs, the joys and sorrows. They are more than a band, they are storytellers, weaving tales of love, loss, hope, and resilience. Their music is a testament to the power of human connection.” Emily has followed the band’s journey from their small-town performances to their national tour and continues to be an ardent supporter.
