Monthly Episode was born in the vibrant and diverse music scene of San Francisco. The band members, James, Danny, Mark and Charlie, all high school buddies, started their musical journey playing in various local punk bands before deciding to form their own group. The name ‘Monthly Episode’ was inspired by their shared passion for television drama series, reflecting their goal to present a new musical “episode” each month. Their journey has been one of steady growth, filled with local gigs, late-night songwriting sessions, and the occasional ramen dinner, all while balancing day jobs and personal lives.
