Backstory:
Long Emotion is a band that came together unexpectedly. The founding members, lead vocalist and guitarist Jake Samuel, bassist Clark O’Donnell, and drummer Paul Erickson, were all attending the same music production course at the University of California, Los Angeles. During a group project, they discovered they had a mutual love for creating a raw, emotional, and heart-wrenching brand of music. They began writing and performing together, and soon, they were playing gigs at local venues and parties. After graduation, they decided to keep the band together and pursue their dream of music, adding keyboardist and backup vocalist Laura Thompson to the mix. The band was officially named Long Emotion, signifying their shared belief that music should carry the listener on a journey of deep, lasting emotion.

Title:
“Lost in the Echo”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Am F
Caught in the web of your sweet deception,
C G
Your love is the poison, I’m the addiction.
Am F
The echo of your voice, it lingers in silence,
C G
Like a haunting melody, a song of defiance.
(Chorus)
Am F
I’m lost in the echo of your goodbye,
C G
Wandering aimlessly beneath the night sky.
Am F
In every shadow, in every reflection,
C G
I see your face, feel your rejection.
(Verse 2)
Am F
I drink in the pain, it’s a bitter potion,
C G
But it’s better than feeling no emotion.
Am F
With every heartbeat, with every breath,
C G
I’m caught in the crossroads of life and death.
(Chorus)
Am F
I’m lost in the echo of your goodbye,
C G
Wandering aimlessly beneath the night sky.
Am F
In every shadow, in every reflection,
C G
I see your face, feel your rejection.
