Overdue Fault

Backstory:

Overdue Fault was formed on the outskirts of Seattle, in the grungy underbelly of the city’s music scene. The band’s four members – lead vocalist/guitarist Finn, bassist Avery, drummer Max, and keyboardist Riley – met at a local dive bar’s open mic night, where they had all separately decided to showcase their solo talents. Their styles were so different that a clash seemed inevitable. However, when a technical glitch forced them to share stage time, they discovered an uncanny musical chemistry. This spontaneous, unplanned jam session gave birth to Overdue Fault, a band that prided itself on its unexpected harmonies and lyrical depth.

Their rise to fame wasn’t easy, as their contrasting musical backgrounds often led to heated disagreements. But as they learned to appreciate each other’s unique perspectives, they found their sound evolving, blending Finn’s bluesy vocals, Avery’s punk rock bass, Max’s jazz-influenced drums, and Riley’s classical piano into an unexpected but captivating sound that quickly captured the hearts of music lovers in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

“Unholy Waltz”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Am – E – D – G
In the cloak of night, we dance, our shadows intertwine,
With the moon as our spotlight, the stars, they realign.
Her lips speak of forgotten tales, her eyes, they tell no lies,
In this unholy waltz, we are creatures in disguise.

(Chorus)
C – G – D – Em
Spin, spin around, under the moon’s cold glare,
In the ballroom of the damned, we dance without a care.
Unholy waltz, the rhythm of the night,
In a grotesque ballet, we find our delight.

(Verse 2)
Am – E – D – G
In the heart of darkness, we find our melody,
With each step, each turn, we create a symphony.
Her touch, a deadly poison, her gaze, a mortal sin,
In this unholy waltz, the beast within, we unpin.

(Chorus)
C – G – D – Em
Spin, spin around, in this monstrous sight,
In the grand theatre of decay, we dance with all our might.
Unholy waltz, the rhythm of the night,
In a grotesque carnival, we find our respite.

“Whispering Truths”

Full Song Lyrics:

[Verse 1: C – G – Am – F]
In this world full of lies, we try to find,
The whispering truths that hide behind.
In every word, in every gaze,
We search for signals amidst the haze.

[Chorus: Am – G – F]
Whispering truths, oh where do you dwell?
In the heart of the brave, or a silent yell?
Can we find you in the smiles, or in the tears?
Or in the silent echoes of our greatest fears?

[Verse 2: C – G – Am – F]
Through the noise, through the crowd,
The whispering truths, they cry out loud.
In the love, in the pain,
In the sunshine or the rain.

[Chorus: Am – G – F]
Whispering truths, oh how do you sound?
In the laughter that’s lost, or the joy that’s found?
Do you hide in the stars, or in the night’s dark shroud?
In the silence, or in the heartbeat’s pounding loud?

In this world full of lies, we will find,
The whispering truths, that in our hearts bind.
For they are there, hidden in plain sight,
In every dawn, and in every night.
